Hidden away above the guildhall this is a forgotten gem in Exeter, whent here a while back for milkshakes and toasted teacakes, service was great, prices reasonable and food nice :-)

Its one of those cafes, where the atmosphere can change intermitently on different days, sometimes everyone is happy, sometimes everyone is sad, I.know this sounds bizarre, so perhaps its me, the foods ok, as youd expect and similar to ferns which is just around the corner but where ferns is roomy and spacious, albeit away from busy periods, I seem to have problems getting onto a seat.

Situated upstairs in the guildhall above the main shopping centre. I have only been here once or twice and have only bought food once. You don't have much of a choice if you are watching your weight. i.e chips, pies, fry ups. It is a typical greasy spoon. Your order is called out over a tanoy which can be a bit distracting. The homemade cakes are a nice little unique touch though. Good little place to go after a shopping spree.

This place is good if you don't mind a bit of grease. The burgers here are very tasty and you don't have to wait long for your food. it's not expensive and you get a lot of food which is tasty. The jacket potatoes are also very tasty and once again it's cheap. They do homemade cakes which is a very nice touch. Overall this is a nice little cafe to sit have a drink and a bite to eat after a nice shopping spree.
